SARI ANN LEWIS
        OTR/L, RCST®

Sari loves to help
facilitate your
Wellness & Quality of Life

through a variety of gentle
manual therapy techniques including
Craniosacral Therapy and Myofascial Release to help calm your tissues, nervous system and cardiovascular system.

 Sari graduated from the
University of Wisconsin with a B.S. in Occupational Therapy
After completing clinical internships in NY and CA, she settled in Arizona to begin over a decade of specialization in hand and upper extremity therapy, and several years working for
Medtronic and Empi selling
electrotherapy products.
(TENS and muscle stimulators)

In 1997, she returned to her true love of patient care and began studies with the International Alliance of Healthcare Practitioners (The Upledger Institute) and the Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy Association of North America (BCTA/NA) where she completed over 1000 hours of training in Biomechanical and Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy and obtained Diplomate certification as a Registered Craniosacral Therapist. (RCST®)

Sari also
has additional training using Craniosacral Therapy with newborns and infants.

**Sari has participated as a Teaching Assistant for multiple Craniosacral Therapy courses, with Michael Shea PhD, including International courses in Switzerland.  Sari determined that a trip to Switzerland to assist courses in 2018 will be a better plan than assisting the 2017 Swiss course.

Sari delights in focusing attention on patient care in her North Scottsdale office,
Sari Hands PLC, where she works with a diverse caseload, ranging from birth to over 90.

Sari is a fitness enthusiast, enjoying a variety of classes and styles of dance and fitness and a 'foodie', who loves to combine beautiful, fresh ingredients in delicious and healthy ways!
These "Heart Hands" are a symbol of love, health, wholeness and community.
Thank you for being a part of this community with me.

Spring 2017
Technophobia!

Catastrophic Server Issue!
Unstable Website Platform!
FTP Publishing Errors!

These are all technology issues that I've experienced since I sent my last newsletter.

As many of you know, I consider myself Sari Hands, not Sari Technology.  As comfortable as I am with medical terms is how Uncomfortable I am with Tech!  So you can just imagine how my world turned upside down when my website crashed, I lost all business emails and found myself unable to edit or change anything on my website.*

I found myself calling on my professional training of being resourceful and resilient to help balance and right my topsy-turvy world.  And it Helped...A LOT!

So I want to take this opportunity to review some of my strategies and encourage you to put strategies in place to help you find balance, health and wholeness.

A recent article in the Harvard Business Review on stress entitled, The Busier You Are, the More You Need Quiet Time says "Recent studies are showing that taking time for silence restores the nervous system, helps sustain energy, and conditions our minds to be more adaptive and responsive to the complex environments in which so many of us now live, work and lead."

The article recommends taking five minute breaks for quiet time, making time to be in nature and
going on a media fast as ways to help invite quiet time into busy schedules.

I've called upon favorite music both to calm and energize me during this crazy time.  And a variety of dance and exercise classes have helped me feel like part of a community along with the other benefits.

Take some extra time to plan, prepare and eat nutritious foods in a mindful way.  Or better yet, plan, prepare and eat food mindfully with others!

I found that I was more tired than usual and allowed myself a little extra sleep...

And I'm fortunate to have a long-standing trading partner for Craniosacral Therapy and reflection.

Hoping this helps you find some ways to call upon your resources when times get challenging.

Remember that I am honored to be included as a resource to you!

In Health and Wholeness,

                 Sari
